Héritage d'Aqueria Lirac Rouge
Héritage d'Aqueria Lirac Rouge
Produced exclusively in the years of exception and coming from the noblest terroirs of the Castle, the Lirac Heritage of Aqueria is the marriage of two great southern grape varieties: Grenache noir and Mourvedre. The clay-sandstone terroirs with many rolled pebbles from which the’Heritage of’Aqueria, produce large Grenaches and Mourvedres. Harvested at optimal maturity, these two grape varieties are assembled equally and then make a perfect marriage, revealing a wine of character while finesse and precision.
Winemaker notes
Dark red dress with intense purple reflections. Charming nose of stone fruits, black tapenade with some spicy notes. Full and balanced palate, the tannins are silky and reveal aromas of black fruits, spices and undergrowth.
2016
Wine Enthusiast 88: Fresh black-cherry and plum flavors are ripe but pure in this bright, fruity red. It's not deeply concentrated or complex but sunny and easy drinking. Fine but firm tannins frame the finish.
2018
James Suckling 90: Wild berries, plums, dried herbs, porcini and spice box on the nose follow through to a medium body with firm tannins. It’s rather dense with tannins framing the palate onto the chewy finish. Drink or hold.
