Dinner Debut of Le Dix 2018 in Singapore!

Grand Vin was thrilled to receive Guillaume Deglise, International Director, and Elodie Chabot, Asia Pacific Area Manager of Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) to Singapore on 24 November for an exclusive Le Dix dinner.
With a sky-high view on the 55th story of ION Orchard, Fire restaurant was the fitting venue to savour the debut of the Le Dix 2018 with its new label identity, as well as the re-release of the 2010 and 2008 Le Dix Cosechas Antiguas with the new label identity.
In commemoration of 10 years of DBR (Lafite)’s work in Chile in the creation of the Los Vascos estate, the first “grande cuvée” Le Dix was created. Le Dix means “ten” in French. Le Dix de Los Vascos originates from 70-year-old vines located in the terroir known as “El Fraile”.
This is a wine of exceptional complexity, balance and elegance, with powerful tannins and aromas of very ripe fruit accentuated by spicy notes of cedar, laurel and eucalyptus.
Guests were treated to Los Vascos Sauvignon Blanc 2018 on arrival, before commencing on a hearty dinner, with mains of Iberico pork ribs and lamb saddle on the bone, that complemented the powerful, elegant wines perfectly. As always, each guest had their favourite vintage of Le Dix, whether it was the immediate charm of the 2018, the soft and silky 2016, the concentrated and remarkable 2010, or the precise, still youthful 2008 that captured everyone’s imaginations.
