Clear and deep golden yellow with shimmering reflections. Distinctive on the nose, with very clear but quite delicate stone fruit notes. Very full-bodied and sweet and juicy on the palate and light citrus and lime flavor. Very long-lasting, dense volume and a subtly pleasant acidity.

Wine Advocate 90: The yellow-golden 1982 Ried Achleiten Riesling Kabinett is bright and herbal on the elegant and warm but also fresh nose. The palate is pure, lush and tensioned, a bit sweet from the extract (although the veil was terribly high in 1982, when green harvesting didn't yet exist in Central Europe) but pretty long, tight and vital on the finish. An impressive oldie that was bottled in Bordeaux bottles with 12.5% alcohol.
