Summer Dreams Golden Hour Pinot Noir
Summer Dreams Golden Hour Pinot Noir
Winemaker notes
Complex notes of ripe strawberries and cherries, hint of tea leaf and flowers, more medium bodied from the Eastern Ridge of Western Sonoma Coast, riper and fuller but pure elegance, layering and perfectly balanced tannins and acidity. Tour de Force of complexity, a symphony orchestra. Will cellar for 10+ years.
Aged in a combination of new and used French oak barrels from the Vosges Forest, mostly Taransaud.
2021
Lisa Perrotti-Brown 97: Medium ruby-purple in color, the 2021 Golden Hour needs patient swirling to evoke a fabulously floral perfume of roses, aniseed, and dark chocolate over a core of black cherries, black raspberries, and fresh blackberries with wafts of wild sage and iron ore. The medium to full-bodied palate has a gorgeous satiny texture and seamless freshness supporting the vibrant red and black fruit layers, finishing on a persistent ferrous note.
Decanter 97: Here is a Pinot you’d want to enjoy with a great cigar, for it leads with terrific tobacco spices and cedarwood layered with a tapestry of raspberry and cranberry fruit and slivers of dark chocolate. Full-flavoured and full-bodied, richly floral and totally enticing. 100% Pinot Noir from West Sonoma Coast. The whole berries are fermented in Taransaud puncheons and barriques. Bottled unfined.
