Vacheron Sancerre Rouge
Vacheron Sancerre Rouge
Winemaker notes
Aroma of red fruit soup (blackberry, morello cherry, redcurrant), caramelized orange zest and rose petals. Peppery finish, long tannins on the palate. Food-wine pairing in its youth is
accompanied by duck breast, meat (red and white) and goat cheese. Older will be the stew, meats with little game and more mature cheeses. Ageing potential 5 to 8 years.
2022
James Suckling 94: A precise, harmonious and silky red with aromas of sour cherries, forest berries, wild herbs and dry stones. It’s medium-bodied with fine tannins and fresh acidity. Bright and transparent, with a lively core of succulent berries. Peppery and full of vitality. Focused and juicy with a delicious finish. Drink or hold.
Vinous 90: The 2022 Sancerre Rouge is a gently styled, savory Pinot Noir with creamy red fruit and spice. It's light to medium-bodied with a richness of fruit on the mid-palate and succulent tannins. The 2022 is satisfying even at this early stage.
