Amelia Park Cabernet Merlot
Amelia Park Cabernet Merlot
Winemaker notes
2022: This wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot with portions of Malbec and Petit Verdot adding complexity. A beautifully fragrant nose of cassis and anise with notes of confectionary. The palate displays excellent fruit intensity with forest berries at the fore. Fine dusty tannins support a long elegant structure. Aged in French oak for twelve months.

James Suckling 92: Attractively fresh, leafy and minty aromas here with ripe raspberries and mulberries, leading to a palate that has a very smooth-honed tannin texture. Plush, even flavors of plums and chocolate. Drink now. Screw cap.
2022
Ray Jordan 95: This has been a winner for Amelia Park, and I have to say this one is as good as any released to date. The warm vintage suited the ripe generous style. The addition of the aromatic cab franc with a little malbec has lifted the nose and created beautifully exotic perfumes. This takes the cab merlot blend into another zone. Love it.
