The Côte de Nuits appellation is a communal appellation of Burgundy. It extends over several villages: Corgoloin, Fixin, Brochon, Premeaux Prissey and Comblanchien. It is in the latter that the Côte de Nuits Villages “Vieilles Vignes” of Domaine Jean-Marc Millot is located. The exploited vines were planted by Alix’s grandparents 80 years ago. Comblanchien quarries confer a great dominance of limestone in the soils.
Winemaker notes
The Côte de Nuits "Vieilles Vignes" is a wine in which minerality and freshness dominate. It allows aromas of black fruits to express themselves because the elderly vine gives a lot of milleranded clusters. These fruity tones balance perfectly with freshness and straight acidity. Reflecting Pinot Noir, the dress is dark red.

Burghound 88: Ample floral influence is present on the cool and ripe aromas of mostly red and dark cherry scents cut with newly turned earth. The delicious medium-bodied flavors possess reasonably good density while offering better length on the slightly rustic finale that is noticeably firmer.
