Don Julio Anejo

A legend in the tequila industry, Don Julio known round the world as a brand that is synonymous with quality and good taste. Producing 6 different highly regarded tequilas, it is the Don Julio 1942 that truly captures the brand and it’s story. Named after the year the founder, Don Julio Gonzalez began his journey into the world of tequila. This bottle is a tribute to the brand’s history. After losing his father, and left to support his wife and 7 children. The only thing he had left by 1942 was passion. Embracing the value of favouring quality over quantity, Don Julio crafted his way into creating the finest premium luxury tequila.
Don Julio 1942 is created in small quantities by first hand cutting the pinas, slowly steam cooking in traditional masonry ovens for up to 3 days in a row to release the sweet agave juice. The spirit is handcrafted, double distilled and gracefully aged for a minimum of 2 ½ years. With aromas of decadent rich caramel, warm oak, vanilla and roasted agave. 1942 offers a decadent balance between flavours of oak and the sweetness of the blue agave plant. A lingering finish that is reminiscent of an actual cigar’s finish that rolls on endlessly till the next sip.
