Coche Dury Bourgogne Blanc
Coche Dury Bourgogne Blanc
2020
Burghound 88♥: There is a trace of reduction, but it seems reasonably clear that the underlying fruit is both ripe and cool. There is outstanding mid-palate density to the delicious middleweight flavors that culminate in a long, balanced and complex finish where the only nit is a touch of rusticity. This is excellent for its level and highly recommended.
Wine Advocate 90: Aromas of pear, crisp green apple, white flowers and hazelnut introduce Raphaël Coche's 2020 Bourgogne Blanc, a medium to full-bodied, ample and satiny wine that's layered and concentrated, with racy acids and a precise, saline finish. This year, domaine fruit is complemented by a small parcel of purchased grapes from lieu-dit Magny in Meursault, not far from the domaine itself.

Burghound 90♥: A cool, pure and airy nose also reflects an abundance of citrus elements to the pear and green apple scents. Here too the medium weight flavors possess a gorgeous mouthfeel if not quite the same intense minerality, while exhibiting impressive depth and persistence for its level. This is also extremely good.
Wine Advocate 89: The 2021 Bourgogne Blanc is showing nicely, offering up notes of white flowers mingled with pear, melon and hazelnuts. Medium-bodied, bright and precise, with a pretty core of fruit, chalky grip and a saline finish, it's based on domaine fruit supplemented by some purchased grapes.
