Blason d'Aussieres
In stock
Blason d’Aussières is characterised by ripe fruit, fresh flavours, and a supple, full-bodied structure which is an excellent representation of the property’s terroir. Its aromas evoke the richness of the garrigues and the flavours are often spicy. 20% of the wine is aged in oak barrels for 12 months.
Winemaker notes
2021: Attractive garnet colour with purple highlights. The nose is generous and inviting. The palate opens with notes of black fruit, blackberry and blueberry, followed by a bouquet of garrigue dominated by notes of summer savory, leading to subtle toasty and vanilla undertones. The finish extends with delicate fragrances of violets and liquorice.
2019
Decanter 91 (World Wine Awards): Cooked sugar with cerise and plummy chocolate with some black olive tapenade. Voluptuous, yet with precision and freshness.
2021
Wine Enthusiast 91: This wine is a chameleon in the glass. Ripe fruit on the nose leans into fig, macerated blackberries, strawberry, rhubarb preserves and fresh cranberries. The palate is surprisingly more restrained than the nose with black and red cherry in the lead through to the lingering finish.
