Collection: Schlossgut Diel

An elite blue-chip estate on the lower Nahe, Schlossgut Diel produces scintillating terroir-driven rieslings ranging from tingly slatey to baroque. The rieslings hail most importantly from a trio of contiguous Grand Crus: Goldloch on thin loam and gravel over a rocky subsoil, Burgberg on quartzite, and Pittermännchen on Hunsrück slate. The seventh generation of her family, Caroline Diel took over from her father Armin Diel, one of the most influential wine writer in Germany. Together with her husband Sylvain Taurisson-Diel, she is the first woman to manage the winery, and was awarded Winemaker of the Year in December 2019 by famous German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.
