« Les Clos » is the beating heart of the Chablis Grands Crus. With its southern exposure, it benefits from morning-to-night sunshine. Its Kimmeridgian terroir gives it a unique style and identity.
Winemaker notes
A harmonious blend of floral notes and light oak. On the palate, the acidity is typically Chablisian (almost chewy), with great length! The salinity carries through to the finish. Pair with white truffle risotto and salmon gravlax with lime and olive oil.
2018
Burghound 91: Moderate wood influence serves as the backdrop for the aromas of mineral reduction, iodine and a pretty mix of white flower and apple scents. The more energetic and mineral-driven flavors possess solid power and mid-palate density on the lingering finish. Once again this could use more complexity, but the underlying material appears to be present for that to occur if given at least a few years of bottle aging.
