Vosne Romanée is one of the most famous village appellations in the world. This wine comes from the blend of two plots. The “Hautes Mazières” and the “Violettes” are among the most qualitative wine terroirs of their level. The soils are highly interesting because they are surrounded by prestigious wines: the Clos de Vougeot, Echezeaux, Vosne Romanée Premier Cru “Les Suchots”. The complexity of the soil is felt in the wine, giving a typical Vosne Romanée with good aging potential.
Winemaker notes
The Vosne Romanée village has silky tannins, where the floral register is not struggling with pretty aromas of violet which are typical of the climate. It is a vermilion wine with shades varying from pure ruby to black tulip. Its dress is fiery red, sometimes up to garnet.

Burghound 89-91♥: More elegant and ever-so-slightly riper aromas of spiced plum, dark cherry, violet and more prominent exotic tea aromas complement the very supple and attractively textured flavors that exhibit excellent length on the firm, dusty and youthfully austere finale. This is not especially dense but the innate class that is Vosne is definitely present. Worth checking out.
