Details
Defines the modern, cult Napa Cabernet style, albeit at a hefty price. Soft and rich tannins and liberally oaked, it shows massively ripe blackberry, cherry and sandalwood flavors, with a meaty, slightly funky note that adds interest. Easy to like right out of the bottle, it's so decadent.

2017: Deep garnet colored, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Few and Far Between prances out with fragrant earth and underbrush scents over a warm cassis and blackberry preserves core, plus wafts of unsmoked cigars and mossy tree bark. The medium to full-bodied palate reveals a perfumed, graceful expression of the vintage, featuring silky tannins and a lively backbone, finishing with a spicy kick.

Jeb Dunnuck 99: I’d wager the wine of the vintage, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Few And Far Between Vineyard is knockout stuff and has incredible aromatics of spiced currants, leafy tobacco, crushed stone, flowers, and lead pencil shavings. It’s rare to find this level of purity and seamlessness in 2017, and this is full-bodied red has a deep, layered mid- palate, awesome tannins, and a great, great finish. If you want to taste the best of 2017 in Napa, this beauty is it.
2018
Wine Advocate 98+: The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Few and Far Between, from a small (less than five acres in size) vineyard just upslope from the Eisele Vineyard, delivers more cherries and redder fruit than either Kayli Morgan or Ark, and the oak is less obvious on the nose. There's still plenty of that cigar box character on the full-bodied palate, where the wine is luscious, demonstrative and creamy-velvety in texture, with a long finish. It's the only one of proprietor Jayson Woodbridge's single vineyards to include anything besides Cabernet Sauvignon, in this case, 8-10% Cabernet Franc.
Jeb Dunnuck 100: The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Few And Far Between Vineyard is pure magic and tops out my scale. From a site near Eisele Vineyard, it has a complex bouquet of red, blue, and black fruits as well as new leather, freshly sharpened pencils, bouquet garni, and assorted spices. Deep, full-bodied, ripe, and sexy, it shows the structured, pure, precise style of the 2018 vintage while bringing classic Hundred Acre depth, richness, and length. Drink this sensational beauty over the coming 20-25 years.
