Burghound 91-93♥: Cool, airy and admirably pure aromas of dark cherry, spice and floral nuances complement the refined and exceptionally intense medium-bodied flavors that also exude a bracing salinity on the youthfully austere but quite stylish finish. This is a classic LPV that is firm enough to reward a decade plus of cellaring.
Wine Advocate 91-93: Aromatically deeper pitched than usual, the 2020 Vougeot 1er Cru Les Petits Vougeot offers up aromas of raspberries, plums, sweet spices and orange rind. Medium to full-bodied, ample and enveloping, with a lively core of fruit and a long, saline finish, it's a worthy follow-up to the 2019.
Decanter 94: Very fragrant black fruit, candied red fruit and touches of chocolate. Suave, textured palate with a pastry finish. Already very appealing but will age well. A great premier cru from a great estate.
