Did you ever wonder how did the lovely heart-shaped label on one of the top St Estephe, Château Calon-Ségur, came about? The famous Marquis de Segur Nicolas-Alexandre, also known as the Prince of Vines, was not only the owner of Chateau Lafite Rothschild and Chateau Latour in the 18th century, he was also very proud of Chateau Calon Segur till his death in 1755. He had once famously said that he made wines at Lafite and Latour, but his heart was at Calon-Ségur.
