Each bottle is chosen for its ability to spark laughter, warmth, and unforgettable moments. From elegant Champagnes to rich reds and vibrant whites, these wines embody the spirit of the holidaysâperfect for sharing, savouring, and making merry with family and friends. Cheers to a season filled with good wine and great company!
2015 Marqués de Murrieta Gran Reserva - Marqués de Murrieta Gran Reserva is made with tempranillo, graciano, mazuelo and garnacha. A limited edition wine, produced from selected barrels, this is historical Rioja in the glass with dark-berry, Spanish-cedar, bark, mahogany and light earth aromas that follow through.
2022 Fabien Coche Meursault les Chevalieres -Â A beautiful pale golden robe, the nose develops enticing aromas of citrus fruits, fern and a well integrated okay undertone. The mouth is generous and pure, nicely balanced between acidity and richness. A big, opulent and very elegant Meursault which left me spellbounded this 2024 and I would strongly recommend to my family and friends.
2020 Marc Roy Gevrey Chambertin Clos Prieur - Allen Meadows, Burghound âAs I have commented in the past, Roy just doesnât seem to miss as sheâs a perfectionist.â I would like to try some of the Clos Prieur this festive as my colleagues who visited Alexandrine earlier this year, came back raving about these beauties. The lovely purity and elegance of this domaine has garnered praise from around the world. Through minimal intervention and extraction, Alexandrine allows her old vines to express themselves. Burgundy rarely is as pristine, or downright delicious, than with the extraordinary wines of Alexandrine Roy.
1996 Louis Roederer Brut Vintage (Deluxe Giftbox) -Â This has oyster-shell, burnt-lemon, smoked-almond, dried citrus notes. Interesting cedar undertones, too. Sharp acidity, with slightly reductive smoky, oyster-shell and flinty character. 1996 has no state of decline, incredible freshness! I would like to try this with some fruit cake this Xmas.
Bleasdale Blanc de Blancs NVÂ -Â A common feature in all of my friends gathering since we took on this label. Bubbles can never fail at a party! A fun drink for all occasions, something good for value and suitable for all palates.
2023 Vacheron Sancerre Blanc -Â Freshness and minerality of flint complemented by the expression of white flowers and citrus from limestone. Very fine, elegant bouquet, long in the mouth. Food-wine pairing as an apertif, enjoy this with shellfish, grilled fish or in sauce, white meat, essential with goat cheese (preferably Chavignol). Ageing potential 5 years.
2019 Saintes Pierres de Nalys Chateauneuf du Pape Rouge - The richness and complexity of this wine made it a really satisfying and indulging tasting experience. Love the âsunninessâ that I can feel from the wine, making it a really happy juice! This Xmas, I am gonna spread some happiness amongst my peers by sharing this bottle!
2019 Bourgneuf - It was a pleasant surprise to know that a 2019 Bourgneuf is already ready to drink! Many may think that itâs still too young to drink, but itâs actually very approachable and can be drank without decanting. Fruit-forward with well-integrated tannins made this Pomerol a really delicious drink!
2018 HdV Belle Cousine - A love story between DRC (de Villiane) and the Hyde families! The wine is named Belle Cousine in tribute to Pamela, cousin of Larry Hyde (owner of HdV) and wife of Aubert de Villaine of DRC. This Napa beauty has a big and bold character but also comes across as being velvety and elegant at the same time.
