Remoissenet Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru
Remoissenet Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru
A Grand Cru with a great history and great wines! Clos de Vougeot (a wall-enclosed vineyard) is the largest grand cru vineyards in the Côte de Nuits. Remoissenet Pére et Fils was founded in Burgundy in 1877 and is currently headquartered in a striking 14th century building in Beaune. A leading light in Beaune for generations, the estate today, with new management and fresh talent in the cellar is now more than ever the definitive source for the best Burgundy has to offer.
1983: These bottles were reconditioned by the winery in 2020, giving them a solid provenance. Drink now, at 41 years of age, this wine still has ample tannin, acidity to complement the tertiary notes. It’s a rare opportunity to taste an aged Pinot Noir, as there aren’t many available on the market.
Winemaker notes
The bouquet is floral, with notes of rose petals and black fruit. The tannins are elegant, racy and delicate, with a lovely fresh finish on the palate.
Pair with roast lamb with rosemary, potato gnocchi & artichokes or Belota Iberian chorizo.
